Located at the far southeastern end of Bordeaux, Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux is a fairly large region that once was known exclusively for white wine but now produces a wide range of wines from all colors and levels of sweetness. Though this area is not known for a tremendous amount of quality, the wines have improved over the last two decades to the point that they are now can be relative bargains. Bordered by Entre-Deux-Mers to the north and Dordogne to the east, Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux has a similar soil type of marl and loam as Entre-Deux-Mers.
