Appellation Details

Thanks to its high altitude, Atlas Peak rests above the fog line and enjoys a supple amount of afternoon sunlight from its location on the western portion of the Vaca Mountains, to the east of Napa Valley. Alluvial and volcanic soils can be found throughout the appellation. Zinfandel is quickly becoming the varietal of choice, but Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sangiovese also thrive here.
