Thanks to the movie Sideways, San Luis Obispo County has become a popular destination for wine country tourists. The towns San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles have embraced this tourism and have developed their towns to withstand the throng of summer visitors for events such as the Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival. The northern portion of the county hosts the appellations Paso Robles and York Mountain, while Edna Valley and Arroyo Grande can be found in the southern area.
