Grillo
One of the original, and probably most important varietal used in the production of Marsala, a specialty of Sicily. Marsala can be found in both sweet and dry styles. As a table wine Grillo can have pleasant notes of citrus and high acidity, as well as an affinity for new oak, but these examples are very rare.
