Vespolina

A native of the Gattinara region of northern Piedmont, in northwestern Italy. Though Vespolina is rarely found on its own it does play a key role in softening the sometimes tough and tannic Nebbiolo that is grown nearby. Like Nebbiolo, Vespolina has aromas and flavors of wild mushrooms, wildflowers, and ripe red and black fruits.
