Grape Information

A synonym of the great Spanish grape Tempranillo that is spelled either as Aragonez or Aragonês in the Alentejo region of southern Portugal. Has received new international attention since the 1980s due to an influx of new money and new world winemaking techniques. Most wines from this area is sold as either the Varietal and/or Vinho Regional Alentejano.
