Another Washington stunning Syrah. Fantastic smoke (which the vineyard is a former grounds for forest fire), also deep berry notes. A good dose of spice on the nose as well as palate. It is very refined for a wine at this price point. Buy this one by the case!! Could slumber in the cellar a few years, it won't hurt it a bit with the tannins. Rating 92. October 8, 2007

Spectacular wine. From the moment the wine hit the glass, the fleshy clear, dark-ruby color was vibrant candy to the eye. Intense blackberry & cherry on the nose with hints of spice & ever so slight smoke fills the nostrils. The palate is sexy, creamy & silkly as dark warm chocolate. Extreme berry, but enough acidity to keep the complex lingering taste making you want more. It took nearly 1-2 hours to open up, suspect another year or two it will be even better (if that is possible). If I were to give this wine a number 93 points, with potential for 94-96 in a few years.
