Jammy and caramelly on the nose, and after the first sip I couldn't figure out what the heck I was drinking. I looked at the label to verify, and sure enough it was Willamette Valley Pinot, but the 15% ABV is what really threw me off. Don't get me wrong, it's a good wine, but it tastes more like Napa Cab than Oregon Pinot. It features ripe fig, stewed raspberries and caramelized sugar with a syrupy body and a medium candied fruit finish. October 23, 2006
