Early in the day before tasting this wine, I was smelling a purple rose, and when I stuck my nose in this glass of wine, I swear it smelled exactly like that rose. Great perfume, notes of black cherry, stewed pomegranate, cinnamon, slate and dried mushroom. A lovely wine. September 11, 2008
