Very pretty pink/purple color. Full body with high viscosity with the wine running slowly back down the glass after swirling. Smells great, full and spiced. Spicy flavor and heavy on the tongue. Bites a little on the tongue but sweet undertones. With air its much more sweet. Tastes stay on the tongue for a few minutes, but is very pleasant. This was suggested to me from the wine guide at Whole Foods as an introduction to red wines. I'm pleased. January 5, 2009
