Ah, 2007...and the hits just keep on coming. A lovely soft bouquet of blackberry, cedar and paperwhites. The first sip is a burst of cherry and black currant, with big, subtly bitter tannins and pipe smoke. Rich fruit continue on the mid palate, staying strong through the big finish. This is a whole lot of wine for such a small price, and will certainly reward if given a little down time. It's good to see that his winery is staying true to Mr. Mondavi's legacy. September 4, 2011
