Another Washington stunning Syrah. Fantastic smoke (which the vineyard is a former grounds for forest fire), also deep berry notes. A good dose of spice on the nose as well as palate. It is very refined for a wine at this price point. Buy this one by the case!! Could slumber in the cellar a few years, it won't hurt it a bit with the tannins. Rating 92.
Great fruit concentration with hints of grilled eggplant, smoke and a peppery finish. Well worth the price. September 7, 2005
