Azal Branco

Light white grape from the Minho region of Northern Portugal. Often one of the grapes used in the making of Vinho Verde, or "Green" wine, so-called by the Portuguese as it is consumed at a very young age. Vinho Verde made from the Azal Branco is light, citrusy and often contains the slightest fizz from both high acidity and unresolved CO2.
