A Provençal grape that is known for producing rosés that are a regional specialty but seldom seen outside of the south of France. Because of the vine's propensity for disease, coulure and rot, yields are usually low, but the wines can have an elegant blend of minerality and certain "Herbs d'Provence" aromatics.
