alessia reviewed Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi 2004 on March 10, 2008

Radici Taurasi is one of the most famed wines in Italy and very well prized by the best known wine magazine, as Gambero Rosso, Espresso, etc.
Aglianico finds its best conditions to express its personality in clayey-calcareous soils. The vintage does not start before the second half of October and lasts until November 10th. The soil, rich in microelements, absorbable magnesium and potassium, poor in organic materials, confers a velvety taste and intense and delicate aromas to the wine.
The vine is mostly cultivated in specific vineyards with dense planting and with the guyot or cordon spur methods. The age of vines is about 20 years.
