Crown Valley Winery is located in historic Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. From the beginning, Joe Scott Sr. knew Coffman, Missouri was more than just a small town, it was something special. Having spent many summers in Coffman on his grandfatherÂ’s farm as a child, Joe held a special place in his heart for the town.
In 1984, he returned to Ste. Genevieve County to establish a ranch of his own. Joe planted his first grape, Chardonel, on the grounds of Coffman in 1998. Watching the vines grow motivated him to plant another field of grapes the next year. While the vines were maturing, JoeÂ’s thoughts on building a winery were too. Joe and his wife Loretta officially founded Crown Valley Winery in 2000 and dedicated their life to proving that Missouri can make great wine.
